LeRoy E. Brenneman, 93, of Hills and formerly of Nichols died Tuesday July 20, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday July 24, 2010 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established.
LeRoy was born April 10, 1917 in Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania the son of Jesse and Elsie Houser Brenneman. . On July 2, 1938 he was married to Rosalie Hogan at Muscatine. The couple lived and farmed in the Nichols area all their life.
Survivors include one granddaughter: Adrienne (Andrew) Connor and a great granddaughter Cate of Omaha, Nebraska; one grandson Bradley Kruse and his fiancé Megan Murray of Omaha, Nebraska. One sister: Bernice Whitlock of Atalissa. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rosalie in 2002, daughter Belita Kruse-Calef in 2004, six brothers and four sisters.
